1. Our Shipping Model
STUBAY is a multi-vendor marketplace connecting student sellers (Vendors) with buyers. This means that each Vendor is directly responsible for shipping their own products. While STUBAY provides the platform, we do not handle packaging, shipping, or logistics.
This policy outlines the minimum standards all our Vendors must adhere to.
2. Vendor Shipping Responsibilities
Every Vendor on STUBAY agrees to:
- Set Clear Processing Times: State how long it will take to prepare an order for shipment (e.g., "Ships in 1-3 business days"). This must be displayed on their product listings.
- Offer Transparent Shipping Costs: Clearly list all shipping fees. Buyers must be able to see the total shipping cost before they complete their purchase. Hiding shipping fees is not allowed.
- Package Items Securely: Ensure all products are packaged carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Ship Promptly: Dispatch orders within the stated processing time.
- Provide Tracking: Use a shipping method that includes tracking information and update the order with the tracking number as soon as it's available. This protects both the Buyer and the Vendor.
- Communicate Clearly: Proactively inform the Buyer of any significant shipping delays.
3. Buyer's Guide to Shipping
As a Buyer, here’s what you need to know:
- Check Processing & Shipping Times: Before you buy, check the Vendor's estimated processing time and shipping details on the product page.
- Verify Your Address: Ensure your shipping address is 100% correct at checkout. Vendors are not responsible for orders lost due to an incorrect address provided by the Buyer.
- Track Your Order: Once your order is shipped, you'll receive a notification with a tracking number. You can use this to monitor your package's journey.
- Delivery Times: Delivery times will vary based on the Vendor's location, your location, and the courier service used.
4. Potential Shipping Issues
Delays
While Vendors must ship orders on time, delivery delays can sometimes happen due to courier issues, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. Please use your tracking number to check for updates. If you are concerned about a delay, please contact your Vendor directly.
Lost Packages 📦
If your tracking information shows the package was delivered but you haven't received it, please check with your family members or neighbors.
If the package is confirmed to be lost in transit (the tracking has not updated for a long time), please:
- Contact the Vendor: Inform them about the situation.
- Contact STUBAY Support: If you cannot resolve the issue with the Vendor, escalate the case to us at support@stubay.shop. We will help mediate and find a fair solution, which may include a replacement or a refund.
For any other shipping-related questions, your first point of contact should always be the Vendor you purchased from.
