At STUBAY, we understand that sometimes students may need to cancel orders due to schedule changes, communication delays, or listing errors. However, because STUBAY is a peer-to-peer platform, cancellations are managed directly between buyers and sellers. The following policy outlines the acceptable conditions for order cancellations.
Buyers may request to cancel an order before the item is handed over or shipped by:
Contacting the seller directly through the STUBAY messaging system.
Explaining the reason for cancellation politely and clearly.
Sellers are not obligated to accept a cancellation request, especially if the item has already been packed or delivered.
Sellers may cancel an order if:
The item is no longer available or was listed by mistake.
They suspect suspicious or fraudulent activity.
The buyer fails to respond or confirm within a reasonable time.
Sellers must notify the buyer as soon as possible and, if payment has already been made (in future versions of STUBAY with integrated payments), initiate a refund if agreed.
Cancellation should be requested within 24 hours of order placement or before delivery, whichever comes first.
If the transaction has already been completed in person or delivery confirmed, cancellation is no longer possible.
Repeated last-minute cancellations by either party may lead to account warnings or suspension by STUBAY.
If a buyer or seller experiences a serious issue, they can contact STUBAY support for investigation.
If you're unable to resolve a cancellation issue, please contact the STUBAY support team:
