At STUBAY, our mission is to build a trusted community where students can buy and sell products with confidence. Since all transactions on STUBAY happen directly between users, return requests must be handled between the buyer and seller. This policy provides a basic framework for fair returns.
STUBAY does not manage or process returns directly.
Buyers must request returns from the seller they purchased from.
Sellers are encouraged to mention their return preferences clearly in product descriptions.
Buyers can request a return if:
The item is not as described in the listing.
The item is damaged or defective (and this wasn’t disclosed).
The wrong item was delivered.
Returns may not be accepted if:
The buyer changes their mind after purchasing.
The item matches the description and is in good condition.
The item has been used, damaged, or altered after delivery.
Examples of generally non-returnable items:
Personal care products
Digital goods (notes, software)
Perishable items
Buyer contacts the seller via STUBAY messaging within 3 days of receiving the item.
Provide photos, order details, and a clear reason for the return.
If the seller agrees, the item must be returned in the same condition as received.
The buyer is typically responsible for return shipping unless agreed otherwise.
STUBAY is not responsible for handling returns but may review disputes and take action against users violating platform rules.
We encourage both parties to communicate respectfully and resolve issues fairly.
